We have someone over here who is trying this. A well-known TV presenter who has been sacked for "inappropriate behaviour" going back years. He has recently been diagnosed with autism and now claims his employers should have realised this and provided a "safe environment"...

@Hopelandia and i dont get it. As a child, one was told what was inappropriate and informed not to do something when it wasnt clear to someone it was inappropriate. Repeated offenses elicited reminders, but eventually, if continued, violations of conduct is simply disregard of the rules and ultimately flagrant disrespect.
Therefore is it "autism"? Or at what point does being a "spoiled brat" simply become recognized as criminal and disrespectful?
Truly there is ettiquette that comes with adulthood. And consequences thst stem from violating established norms of behavior.
Otherwise, how\why does society exist at all?
At what point does, "that person is autistic" give them a break morph into having "so much money snd\or status that rules simply dont get enforced?
A double standard obviously.

I agree.

Do you have a specific example in mind?
It is up to a judge to decide whether there are mitigating factors in the execution of an offence.

@SunshineGirl i saw a news story in my area of upstate new york. Idk ill let you know when i find it again. Even so i had a roommate once that seemed to use his autism as an excuse to avoid blame, collect disability and justify his alcoholism; with some frequency.
