What made America Great?

What happened to leaders like this?? I know he wasn't perfect and you're all going to tell me all about the things he did wrong or illegal or whatever ... but I just love this speech...

And please don't misunderstand me. I'm NOT an open borders advocate. But I DO believe strongly that lawful, orderly immigration is and has been one of America's strengths for 240+ years.

"If we ever close the door to new Americans, our leadership in the world would soon be lost."
~Ronald Reagen, President, USA

Really? Ronald Reagan? That man is what arguably took America from any greatness it had. His policies destroyed the middle class for the next four decades, ruined our cities, and destroyed mental health services in his country

Ronald Reagan is what brought us to where we are at today. He was a terrible president and a terrible human being

@MethDozer be careful, the op insists on staying on the topic of immigration.

@MethDozer actually the last time any broad immigration legislation was passed it was under him!

@samueltyler2 there was the amnesty act that's true

@MethDozer that doesn't mean that he deserves the Teflon coating he was granted.

We are seriously encroaching on Sarabee's op.
@MethDozer
I hear `ol Nancy was a bit of a party animal though...

@swirlie She was. Socialite. That's pretty much their whole personality and only talent

@MethDozer @samueltyler2 Lol, thank you, Sam, for helping to enforce my authoritarian policies! 🤣🤣🤣

But seriously, I could've chosen any post-war twentieth century president (Eisenhower thru Clinton) for a video clip espousing immigration as a source of America's greatness. The reason I chose this one was the admonition at the end about losing greatness.
@MethDozer
Do you sport an Elvis Presley 1960's haircut or do you wear your hair more like the Ronald Reagan Presidential 'look'?
