@exchrist They don't pretend there are no other options, they just pretending like there is no option whatsoever. They don't talk about it.
But the real culprit is the citizens who are too ignorant to recognize a problem themselves and raise their voice about it instead of being told it by a politician.

@SinlessOnslaught we agree. My observation is that in most instances the citizen is overworked and thus too burntout to be , reasonably, Expected to be able to recognize. Sadly thats what politicains and beaurocrats are counting on.

Non-drivers perform a public service by not adding to congestion and pollution. And they keep mass transit systems, generally recognised to be public goods, running. But I would rather subsidies were removed from private motorists first before directing further tax money into transport.

@SunshineGirl seems reasonable. Definitely we need to reduce the number of cars on the road. Then maybe incentivize public transit use. Its better for peoples health (lots more walking biking socializing)
