The Bible opposes crime and emphasizes the importance of justice and order, with God establishing governments to maintain order and protect citizens. It also highlights the consequences of breaking laws, with those who resist authorities facing judgment

Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 20:13, which state that it is an abomination for a man to lie with another man as he would with a woman

Romans 1:26-27, Apostle Paul says that homosexuality is contrary to God's natural order and results from rejecting God

@pdockal

we are to love God, and love others.

Jesus says

"Love your enemies, and PRAY for those who despitefully use you."

@Carazaa Love the person- hate the evil (crime, etc)

saintsong · 41-45, F
Exactly! I step back and let the Lord Judge between me and others, because Only He Knows Our Hearts! And I am in no way or in any shape able to judge because I too am capable of sin! Although I do believe in reaching out to the sinner, in order to snatch them out of harms way if they are sinning not out of anger, hate or contempt but caring, for I believe that evil prevails when good people sit back and do nothing...

@saintsong Your closing clause is a quote, or almost so! Trouble is I forget who said it. Still, they are wise words.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
I don't think I'd find it easy to "love" anyone who broke into my house; but I certainly don't lump all of those groups together as some would (while keeping quiet about their own "sins").
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
I cannot see this as a statement with any hate in it, so some of what flowed from it seems very contrived.
GerOttman · 61-69, M
Point of order, I can still love the criminals while they are incarcerated. Jus sayin..
Yes but sometimes US government doesn't think that way. Especially for outsiders.

Who says we no longer welcome immigrants ?
@Carazaa Yes I know. Many of my schoolmates or friends moved to USA. All of them were engineers

@Carazaa Wow you are full of hate. BTW that is old testament not new. The new says that the sinner will bear the brunt of his own sin. So why are you so judgemental and so unwilling to obey God even as you claim to be super saint by putting down all those you think don't meet your mystical standards?
Carazaa · F
@hippyjoe1955

NO, need to feel guilty! we are all sinners every single day! That is why Jesus died, to pay our pardon. You sin, and me too! we are not to retaliate when people hurt us or to judge others, only ourselves.

God is our Judge, He says, "I will repay evil for evil"

Jesus says,
"Turn the other cheek" "Love your neighbor as yourself". "Treat other the way you want to be treated". Not treat people the way they treat you!
nobodyishome · 31-35, F
Yea, Jesus will come on Judgment Day to save you. Good luck with that!
@nobodyishome he won't save you?
Carazaa · F
@littlepuppywantanewlife Jesus is the only hope for humanity, that is right!

I love all people, and I believe all people want a good life. But because some people are racist many people are discriminated against. And they can't find good work and can't support their families! Racism is the problem!
KingofBones1 · 46-50, M
@Carazaa illegal alien is not a race of people it is a group again. And that is not true if you want to be part of America you come here legally and Obey our laws otherwise why should any of us obey the law I should walk around and get to do what I want to do to whom I want to do it too and now I want to do it you cannot have rules for some people and no rules for others and don't sit here and tell me about racism I'm part native American I could go on about that for quite a while especially when it comes to the church but there comes a point where people have to get past some of this trying to be American and also trying to hold on to their former country doesn't work that way do you want to be here or do you want to be there

@ArishMell Yes I learned a lot from him and his friends. He came from the rich side of Somalia as did all his friends that I knew. They said they moved to Canada because they were told that here in Canada no one has to work. It came as a complete shock to find out that the Canadian government was not handing out free money and they actually had to work for it. I found the story hard to believe but they all said it and I haven't been to Somalia so I honestly don't know if they were telling the truth or not. I still liked them and found them all jobs.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@hippyjoe1955 That was very good of you!

Most of the immigrants to the UK don't seem to think they need not work, but instead think it easy to find work. It isn't and a lot of them end up in "black economy" sweat-shops for minimal pay and appalling conditions. This after paying a lot of money and their passports to exploitative traffickers, too.
