Why do they use lethal injection in the USA?

Death by firing squad has always been the quickest, cheapest and most humane way of doing it.

I just read life in prison can cost $75,000
Lethal injection can cost like $2M

A 9mm bullet from walmart is less than a dollar and they die instantly with out complications.

Put everyone on death row on an island to fight to the death televise it turn it into revenue? Only the finall two "get" to be put to death?

@GuyWithOpinions yup and revenue generation. America has alot of debt and a huge prison population.
Only voluntary participation; of course. & it would be entertaining. Opportunity for alot of movie footage too which would lower cost on that.
