Gas was $2.85 this morning

I’m sure everyone who was mad at Biden when the prices were higher and was putting those stickers all over the pumps is now grateful for what a great job the president is doing. 🙃

Seriously? I just paid $4.59/gallon yesterday.
@toddr13 What state?
toddr13 · 46-50, M
@anythingoes477 Virginia for 93 octane.
@toddr13 Not sure who you blame for that..........but you should blame yourself for who you voted for in your state. Per your states own data........"Virginia had a debt of $28,231,613,000 in fiscal year 2015. The state debt per capita was $3,374. This ranked Virginia 13th among the states in debt and 22nd in per capita debt."

That means the governors and state legislature you have voted for YEARS and YEARS and YEARS have buried everyone on Virginia under mountains of debt. At some point they either raise your property taxes to outer space limits...which they have......or they tax the shit out of Virgina residents in any other way they can to pay down that $23 BILLION in debt of mis-management.......and that was there back in 2015...and lots higher now.

The lion's share of what you pay for gas is in gasoline taxes.....plus 93 octane that you quote is Premium gas....and that is higher everywhere than Regular anyway.

@toddr13 just remember jensaki said inflation's good for us

@anythingoes477 I know that premium costs more but that price is ridiculous. And the increase has been sharp, not a normal drift in market pricing. And, that’s an assumption that I’m a Virginia resident who has been here for decades.
@toddr13 There is no assumptions in what I said. The assumption is you think I meant "you" personally.......instead of "you the people" who voted for mis-managers in Virgina for YEARS. Voting choices that are now coming back to haunt all of you with personal prop tax increases...gas taxes out of this world..soaring real estate taxes.....and taxes on anything and everything else Virginia can find to tax to pay off what the state owes.

And if you look for fault on what 93 UNLEADED PREMIUM costs.......look at the SOY Lobby.
They are 100% responsible for making sure ANY gas that isn't ethanol added is as high priced per gallon as possible to drive it off of the market.
