Not this selection, no
Surprisingly missing is Trip to Jerusalem, Nottingham, the oldest pub in England.
There were four in the village I came from, after the war.
The Vine, the Carpenters Arms, the Bottle and Glass, and the Rat Hole (say no more).
My friend’s family kept the Bottle and Glass. Connie Neale brought the beer in from a barrel outside, in a big metal jug. I once saw my uncle slaughter a pig there.
Yates’ Wine Lodge, Nottingham, had some notoriety. The working girls stood in bottom bar looking into tilted mirrors around the sides. Whilst the punters drank in the gallery eyeing up the girls from above, contacting them via the mirrors.

Probably only one: the Tan Hill Inn.
I've spent two weekends there, in separate years.
On the first occasion, the dog snoozing on one side of the fireplace and the cat on the other was hardly a surprise, but a sheep wandering around the room? It was the then-landlady's pet!

I would like to suggest that the Turf Tavern in Oxford is pretty iconic even if it didn’t make the list

No, but on our one visit to England, we really enjoyed the pubs.

"Iconic" is a word that means so much lately it means nothing. It's like totally random, dude!

@hunkalove its the view on one journalist posting on instagram.
