I'm starting to think that the UK's "special relationship" with the US is domestic violence

Girl.

Lady Britannia.

Listen to me, get away from him.

“But daddy, I LOVE HIM!!!!! 😭😭😭”

We need him. We would be very vulnerable otherwise.

@PatientlyWaiting25 You've got enough nukes to obliterate at least the capitals of all four multiple times, the risk of that actually happening is practically null.

@Elessar Let's hope so but that's not what the experts are saying. We are under prepared.

@PatientlyWaiting25 No its yrue, the state of the UK defence force is pretty crappy for all the territtory the nation has to defend. I really do think a 2nd Falklands is beyond the UK's ability to singularly defend against.

However.

However it can be fixed with a smarter retooling of the purchasing that's done. A lot of it is being subjected to mission creep that doesn't solve the problems the platforms are truly meant for(if we talk about the RN)

Politically shooting at their own foot too. Though in comparison to voting Trump in '24, Brexit was a walk to the park
The special relationship was always about allowing a certain sector in the UK to continue pretending they still have an empire.
