What he actually said is that he's prepared to send a peacekeeping force if a suitable peace deal is agreed between the warring parties. Not quite the same as 'wanting'. Besides, he's got to find the money for the extra military personnel first.

@FreddieUK IOW troops. There will be no need for peace keepers in Ukraine. Britain was in large part the reason the war started. It was also an active antagonist against Russia. Britain really blew this one. Stay home Starmer and shut up.

He did not say "wants". No-one "wants" that.

He said he is prepared to, as part of a NATO or UN peace-keeping force.
