Is it time for the US to stop giving aid to Ukraine ?
In a blunt letter sent to Congress on Monday, Budget Director Shalanda Young wrote: 'We are out of money to support Ukraine in this fight. This isn't a next year problem. The time to help a democratic Ukraine fight against Russian aggression is right now. It is time for Congress to act.
Yes! Everyone knows it was all a sham, and Zelensky is as crooked as Biden. We need the corrupt current regime out, and to cut off all funds to foreign wars and crooked deals. No one should benefit from American tax dollars except American citizens.

They shouldn’t have ever started.
The cynic in me thinks the only reason the west have supplied Ukraine with weapons is to keep Russia occupied.
Myself and @Yulianna -and we have no idea if she is okay- were agreed that if Russia launched a full scale invasion there was only one outcome.
And it wasn’t Ukraine winning.
But neither of us expected Ukraine to be supported like it has been.
There are other wars going on that the west is not throwing weapons at.
Which rather proves my point.
The real question is how long the west will keep supplying weapons for a war that is going nowhere and will last decades unless someone gets peace talks started.
For neither side will ever win.
It may need two new leaders to end this.

@TheSirfurryanimalWales I would agree with you, but if we turn off the spigot, there would only be one winner, and that would be Russia. Putin has done this to other former Soviet block countries before this (smaller ones), and we stood by silently, and let it happen (Georgia, Chechnya , etc). We have always been a little selective in our moral outrage, no matter how well-intentioned it is. While I’m glad we have not put our own military members in harm’s way in Ukraine, we did put ourselves in this fight, and to pull our support at this point is frankly too late.

If we stop how will fjb get his 10%
Awww man that is a shame, but as the budget director said they don't have any more funds for Ukraine. 😔

I guess lots of the deranged Putin fans here will be happy.

@Nimbus I’ve had to pull back from following the news (I’ve always tried to stay on top of major events) . It’s just too depressing. I’m prone to depression as it is, and everything going on lately has just added to it. I had to pull back from Facebook as well, for the same reason. It’s tough. I want to know what is going on, but at the same time, I don’t

No. It would embolden Putin, weaken NATO, and de-stabilize Eastern Europe.

Damn it!! It's very sad with what is happening there, I get it, but what about a country's citizens? That should be the priority. 😡
