That's not true. I have seen plenty of Ukrainians being interviewed about the war and they spoke English. I have also seen Zelenskyy give interviews in English.

That's not true. For a start, Zelenskiy's first language is Russian.

It's sort of true as Ukraine did make the use of Ukrainian compulsory in public, and specifically targeted Yiddish, Belarusian, and Russian as languages you couldn't use outside of private communication. Oh and they did partially ban Russian books and music.
And the Ukrainian children abducted by the Russians are told they can only speak Russian now. oh and forcibly adopted by Russian who knows what Crimes of abuse will be committed against them 😪
