So, How is the Russian economy doing, after all the sanctions ?

hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
A darn sight better than the boycotters'

Steep decline and deep denial

Close to boil, recession and collapse within next 3years time. Sanctions were not watched proper , many holes and ways to avoid it. Price of Ural is 57 , but Russian budget for 24 put it at 71. Chinese are sucking Russia dry , Prospect for Russia is like Venezuela, price control and Central Bank under Putin control. Already within next 2-3 years debt and inflation will kill small business there.

Forecasts have changed from one percent to two percent + growth. Clearly more resilient than previously thought.

As parts beginning to break it will hurt.
"Collectively, these sanctions that have been applied to Russia, to Iran, to China do cause a great deal of harm to them economically. And sometimes it takes longer than we would like for their behavior to change. But I don't think there's any question, with respect to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, that it has had a significant impact on them and their ability to manage that war," Rep. Mike Lawler, R-N.Y., said.
