They also want to get rid of "the gay agenda" (whatever that's supposed to be), stop investing in anything green, make protesting illegal, etc. Only horrible things, and bashing asylum seekers certainly seems their top priority, but it's still not the only (non-)issue they focus on.
Honestly...I kinda wish our primaries were like this. I hate that as we go state by state, people drop out. I think our elections woukd have been far different if we allowed all states to vote on the same primary runners.
@calicuz I absolutely will, and someone on the left too. I just don't know whom yet because all of them across the whole spectrum are very good at not saying what they are going to do.
I think it's great that you have options, but that does seem to be a bit much. Is it a system of narrowing down candidates until there are just 2 to choose from?
@calicuz nope, we only get to choose once. And then the 150 with the most votes get to fight among each other who forms a coalition. Although picking a specific candidate rarely has any effect, so it's mostly narrowed down already to 27 parties.
It sounds like a pain, but it seems to be working. A good public transit system, a low unemployment rate, so as long as they keep the "freight train rollin'." I also know all Western governments could do better, but it's about progress.
Does the person even matter? But yeah the size of the paper is ridiculous! I also find it ridiculous that we can't figure out how to do this digitally.
@NerdyPotato That's insane. We have a movement in Canada call the Long Ballot Committe. Our biggest ballot was 91 candidates, I thought that was crazy!
