I think it's great that you have options, but that does seem to be a bit much.
Is it a system of narrowing down candidates until there are just 2 to choose from?

@calicuz nope, we only get to choose once. And then the 150 with the most votes get to fight among each other who forms a coalition. Although picking a specific candidate rarely has any effect, so it's mostly narrowed down already to 27 parties.

It sounds like a pain, but it seems to be working. A good public transit system, a low unemployment rate, so as long as they keep the "freight train rollin'." I also know all Western governments could do better, but it's about progress.
