dry texts from woman = disinterest, ..right?

or is she just not much of a texter?

irl its kindov obvious she likes me. or at least used to...idk anymore

i dont see her daily anymore due to change of cicumstances but i have her number and started texting her but she sends very dry texts. i didnt like her immediately after meeting her (it was obvious she liked me) but ive been thinking about her a lot lately, and i try to talk to her (via text) but her dry texts make me think shes moved on... do i also let it go now or....

I have a very annoying friend who texts me ALL the time...because he can't type or spell, but he has a cool little gadget on his phone where ALL he has to do is speak, and it types for him.

I, on the other hand, have tendonitis in both wrists, and my left wrist is growing a ganglion which is quite painful. So for me, it HURTS to type. Often, I use whatever AI has provided as a response. I usually get 2 or 3 options. OR...the emoji response.

Could be your "disinterested" friend likes you, and just can't type very well.

@4meAndyou i feel like i should be trying harder - like say asking her if she wants to have lunch w me some time - but I've been sooooo busy ..and rn the best way for me to gauge her interest is in how she responds/msg ..and it's making me feel so..dispensable

@thrash Set aside a time for lunch just for her. I know you've been busy...but you still eat, and you can cut an hour and a half out and reserve it.

She might think you didn't care about her birthday, if you said you had to go and didn't acknowledge it. Not that you meant anything by it!! You could just send a quick " Hey what'll you be doing for your birthday? I had to go before, sorry." But honestly don't worry too much on it. That's only one idea and could be wrong.

@Coralmist funny thing is iwas actually worried about it and wanted to do something for her... but my ego is brusied now.. whatever~
Maybe. No idea what your texts are like but maybe that she sees no movement or momentum to move forward with talking to you. If the conversation is always the same she’s either bored or tired of trying. Or she’s moved on… or she was a waste of time from the begging as she just liked the attention and had no intent on letting it go this long. there are a number of possibilities based on circumstances we know absolutely nothing about.

I don’t like texting so that might be her problem
Perhaps she needs moisturizer?

Phone her and speak to her in person. You'll get closure one way or another

@ArtieKat i have talkingonthephonebia
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@thrash I hate talking on the phone too actually
RedBaron · M
Leave her alone for a week and see if she contacts you. That will tell you a lot.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
I take dry, or monosylabic responses as disinterest.
Miram · 31-35, F
Show me one of the conversations and I will tell you if she has interest in you
thrash · 31-35, M
@Miram you made me reread our convos.. she stopped being 'enthusiastic' after telling me her birthday is coming up to which i said i had to go (i did at the time) ... i think I'll just embrace my avoidant attachment style roots and write her off as disinterested and move on with my life.... not like i have time to be pursuing romantic interests anyway. . .

@496sbc in my defence, if she - as great as she is - could just sweep me off my feet upon meeting me then what's to say someone else can't do that also ... my feelings would be almost worthless. but yeah

it's been nice venting lol.
