same old same old england

with so much promise and hope when at a major football tournament england fall short . it is though fate is against england or a lack of that something too take them all the way .to be fair they lost too the current world champions been a strange old world cup . 🤷‍♂️ who will win it now is anybodies guess the way the competition has gone there could be more shocks and surprises still too come

We didn't have a good summer and we came through a relatively easy group so any world beating expectations should have been tempered with reality. In the end we gave a respectable performance but we couldn't score in open play and didn't make many chances to do so. Even if we scored the second penalty, we couldn't score a goal in open play so we would likely have either lost in extra time or lost in the penalty shootout. England have a good squad and are a decent team but Southgate is risk adverse and at some point you have to take a chance and be bold.
