I just heard something good about the tariffs!

Near all of the fireworks available to the general public are made in China…I might actually get some sleep on July 4th this year 😂

Local shrimpers are happy with tariffs since they make imported shrimp more expensive. I only buy local Gulf shrimp, so it doesn't impact me.

@Strictmichael75 I doubt if the price for Gulf shrimp will go up that much. They still have to compete with domestically farmed shrimp.

If a huge part of the supply goes away, and demand stays the same, ALL of the domestic supply will have to be worth more...

@Piper Thankfully I’ve gotten my cat and my dog used to the noise…the cat isn’t bothered at all anymore, and my dog just needs a little reassurance. But I know most of my neighbors have pets that are traumatized for days or weeks after even.

I remember when they banned fire crackers. Every year after a ship would arrive from China and sell them off the water to the Natives, who would then sell them under the table to us Whiteys.
I bet those ships still come.
