Holy COW!!! I've SEEN a snake that big once...but it was dead...floating white belly up in the Tri-State ditch behind my grandfather's house out in Nebraska!
I read the ABC article about this, and it seems that the snakes are desperately seeking water. I would NOT want to live in Townsville, that's for sure!!!
