Republicans are used to the population growing more conservative as it ages. This has not been happening with recent generations as consistently. Because of this, they are desperately trying to figure out the cause because otherwise they are going to be aged out of electoral power.
When they look at the numbers they see that educated people are less likely to get more conservative over time. So the conclusion is that liberals are educating children away from conservatism. With that fear in mind, they are trying to stamp out anything they feel might be liberal friendly indoctrination. Unfortunately, that includes stopping discussion of factual information that might go against some of their party positions.

@pdockal I never said all educated people were liberal. I said higher education rates lead people to be more liberal. And I can agree that it is largely due to the nature of experiences in higher education.
I'm just stating what the statistics show. And linking that to continued GOP anti-intellectualism and their current campaigns against what can be discussed in schools and what books can be in school libraries. Also, in my home state of Florida, DeSantis is attacking diversity programs in state colleges.
Experiences are important, and the education system is one of the ways young people acquire more experiences. I grew up in a town that was 95% white. If I didn't go to college, I would have a huge experience gap in relationships to people of other groups and even nations. If DeSantis kills university diversity groups, those other groups I had met and interacted with would become less represented.
Higher education to leads to more liberal outcomes because of the broader experiences of higher educated people. By controlling education more strictly, they are able to limit and control those experiences.

You inferred that as i get educated ill becoming liberal which i find is the opposite .... the more i learn the more I'm tired of the liberal agenda etc
Live and let live
Don't put color (or any other adjective) in front of groups and the world will be better
I'm done
I'm tired
Good luck

@pdockal I think we can all see from your fractured grammar and erroneous use of words like inferred that you are painfully uneducated.

@CorvusBlackthorne I was just letting it stand. He believes his personal experience is more important than statistics and purposefully mis-inferred my words from generality to absolutism. The error is obvious enough to not need further replies.
