“Matthew 25:35: States that welcoming strangers is a way to show hospitality.”
“Hebrews 13:2: States that hospitality to strangers should not be neglected.”
Does stranger mean foreigner?

@sunsporter1649 Are you against America's founding values?
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@BohemianBabe Are you for letting murderers, child trafficers, drug runners, everybody into the countryt?
BohemianBabe · M
@sunsporter1649 Murderers and traffickers, no. Drug runners, sure, drugs should be legal.
But really, this isn't about letting in criminals. The Haitian workers in Springfield are here legally, they all passed a background check, there should be no issue. But y'all are still complaining about them.

No, they should not! 😡
BohemianBabe · M
@BohemianBabe No, they should not. People who take illicit and harmful substances usually end up ruining the lives of those they know, and those they associate with (ex. the drunk driver who runs someone over, or the hard substance addict who goes berserk and ends up assaulting someone).
The drugs that are illegal, are so, because those who take them have the very real potential to harm others.

@Bel6EQUJ5 Well doing drugs and driving should be illegal, but doing drugs in your own home should be legal. Alcohol is a deadly drug, but it's legal. Basically, every drug should be legalized and regulated like alcohol.
Yes, people who do drugs can ruin their lives, but that's part of freedom. People have ruined their lives by gambling, should gambling be illegal?
There's also the fact that banning drugs just created an underground market, which caused more drug use. Portugal reduced drug use by decriminalizing all drugs, since that put all of the drug-pushers out of business.

Right, because no one high on something potent has ever wandered out of their home and onto the streets. They're just SO considerate of others when they're out of their minds, and literally don't know what they're doing. 🙄😂🤡
BohemianBabe · M
@Bel6EQUJ5 So alcohol should be illegal? That's what you're saying?
@BohemianBabe Yes, that's what I'm saying. Are you surprised by that? Who actually needs alcohol? What useful purpose does it serve?

@Bel6EQUJ5 Part of freedom is letting people make their own decisions. You can say the same thing about anything you don't like. I think sports are boring, I could say sports don't serve a good purpose. But in a free country, people are free to do and watch sports if they want.
@BohemianBabe
Only if those decisions do not adversely affect others, which the intake of drugs like alcohol certainly does. And comparing the taking of harmful drugs to sport is just ridiculous.

@Bel6EQUJ5 If a person gets drunk in their own home, who is being harmed?

That poem was written by a Jewess for a staute that was dumped on America by the French.

@Diotrephes Either way, it represents what America was built on. America has always needed and welcomed immigrants.
