There are establishment Republicans and then there are conservatives. Don't confuse the two.

Even if you don't believe that Conservatism is just the road to Fascism, then non-establishment Conservatives would be like 5% of the Right.

@BohemianBoo Fascism is a product of the left. Its ideal was a very strong central government hence its name Fascism. It literally means Strong State.
@BohemianBoo Fascism? Both Republicans and democrats are fascists. Look at the way democrats are trying to censor social media and control the free flow of information. Is that not fascism? Each time a democrat or republican President is elected in this country, we lose a little bit of our freedom.
@hippyjoe1955 Exactly. Young fella doesn't know what fascism means. Probably gets his definition from antifa.
@RocktheHouse Which Democrats are trying to censor social media?
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@hippyjoe1955 @RocktheHouse you do know the origins of left and right as political terms, don't you? The right originates as a party of order supporting a strong state, preserving religion, and upholding a hierarchy of power.

Learn some damn history.

@ViciDraco If you think that the socialism of the fascists are any different than the socialism of the democrats/liberals in present day North America you are delusional.
@hippyjoe1955 The Left and the Right both want that. The difference is that the Left wants more Democracy, while the Right wants no Democracy. That's why Fascism is on the Right.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BohemianBoo Too funny!!! The left have to cheat to get their candidates into office! Biden did not get 81,000,000 votes! The democrats are an anathema to democracy.
@hippyjoe1955 Oh yeah, I forgot you're still pretending the election was rigged for Biden.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BohemianBoo Pretending? Who in their right mind thinks the elections are open and fair? Be honest.
@hippyjoe1955 Well I think the electoral college is unfair. So yeah, I agree the elections aren't totally fair.
But the 2020 election did follow the rules as they now stand. And if they didn't, Trump's lawyers would have said so in court, instead of admitting there was no evidence of voter fraud.
Firstly, let's get something straight. Democrats are not liberals. The Neo-liberals in the Democratic Party of the US opposes freedom of expression, freedom of speech, free markets and religious liberty. That's not liberalism. Classical liberalism supported limited government, free markets and freedom of speech and individualism.

Fascism and Socialism are co-dependent. Socialism cannot operate without a strong state. Stalin's Soviet Union proved that. Socialism gives rise to fascism. The Bolsheviks were champions for labor unions, until they seized complete control and then the unions became under government control. The plan came right out of the Leninist playbook.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BohemianBoo If you consider stuffing the ballot box and digital manipulation of the vote count legitimate you live in a different world than I do. I have no problem with the electoral college and wish Canada had a similar method as Toronto gets to pick the government of Canada and the realms have no say in the federal government.
@hippyjoe1955 If those things really happened, why didn't Trump's lawyers bring it up in court?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BohemianBoo Yawn. The courts said that they are not getting involved in politics.
@RocktheHouse
The Neo-liberals in the Democratic Party of the US opposes freedom of expression, freedom of speech, free markets and religious liberty.
Do you have any examples of this? Which Democrats want to ban freedom of speech or religion?
Socialism cannot operate without a strong state.
But unlike Fascism, Socialism requires Democracy. That's the big difference. Socialism gives more power to the average person, while Fascism gives all the power to the government.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BohemianBoo You are not aware of demcrats and their fascist tendencies? Wow!
@hippyjoe1955 Can you give me some examples?
Real examples, not lies about the 2020 election.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BohemianBoo So you didn't see the videos of the mysterious ballots showing up at three in the morning? How about the video of the woman running the same batch of ballots through the vote counting machine over and over again. If you don't look you will never see.
@hippyjoe1955 Link me.
gol979 · 41-45, M
@BohemianBoo you are half correct. The bird of fascism needs 2 wings to fly.....republican and democrat both serve the same pay masters/system.

Republicans are no longer conservatives and democrats no longer represent the left. The mainstream left/right paradigm is now just being used to divide and conquer. It probably always was
@gol979 Republicans and Democrats are mostly funded by the same people, but the parties are still very different. Republicans always destroy the economy, then Democrats fix it. Democrats don't go nearly far enough, but keeping the country at the status quo is still better than making the country way worse. And obviously, the Democrats aren't Fascists. They're not trying to eliminate our Democracy, but Republicans are.

Democrats aren't Leftists, they're right-leaning Liberals. That sucks, I wish they were Leftists, but right-leaning Liberals are still better than Republican Fascists.
gol979 · 41-45, M
@BohemianBoo hate to break the news to you but democrats are no better than republicans. They are pretty much the same.....they will differ on agreed matters and to whip their base into a dialectic/designed division....see abortion right now. But when it comes to actual policy then they both sing from the same hymn sheet. Time to back away from this weird version of democracy (its not democracy and both parties are to blame)
@gol979 That's just not true. Name any policy and I'll show how the Democrats are better. Not great, just better.
And like I said, the economy always does better under Democrats. Every time we have a Republican president, we get a recession.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BohemianBoo The reason is because the democrats set the table for the recession. The democrats get in and make a complete hash of things so the republicans are elected to fix the disaster. How about Carter and Biden's economy? Good news? Oh and don't forget the Great recession of Obama and the Great Depression under Roosevelt.
