There's a slew of Blondie films on YouTube. Check out the Arthur Lake/Penny Singleton comedies. They are royally dated but I guess you have to be in the right frame of mind to watch them.

I remember Bazooka Joe from the papers and the bubble gum wrappers trying to open them gently to be able to read the jokes printed on them.

Calvin and Hobbes. Garfield, Far Side, and Mad Magazine all come to mind right off the bat.
