It’s really sick what the left is doing. Stoking divide while our communities are coming together to support and help each other. If we would’ve gone after Biden when Hurricane Beryl hit Texas or Helene hit North Carolina we would’ve been placed on watch lists and labeled as domestic terrorists. I'm sorry for all the pain you and the amazing people of your state are going through, but there is a reason this didn't happen more often and that's because national funding of weather watchers and scientist helped monitor it.
Someone robbed government funding to give tax breaks to the rich... but you are absolutely right, it was not one person... but it was one group and their was a clear leader of that group.
Cutting life saving resources for the people is going to lead to some loss of life, especially as they adjust to the new norm. It's fact of life.
Also, people might say we shouldn't be playing the blame game... but Trump quote literally blamed Biden for this, which Biden had absolutely nothing to do with the cuts. So if Trump can lie and blame people, then people should be able to be honest and say it was their cuts that lead to a lack of resources for them to be aware.
Which just to be clear, people could of died anyways, but most likely would of been less people as the response would of been faster.

@sstronaut Except dodge cuts dont come into effect until october, and the local emergency / weather service stated they were fully staffed, and had 2 more working at the time.
So no, this was not the cause of Trumps policies. Stop it and do your homework. Maybe look at who didnt.
The area was known as "flash flood ally" is is also one of the most dangerous areas in the country for said flash flood. People have died there before from foash flooding. Maybe start by asking why a camp was there to begin with.

The captain of the ship is the one to blame ultimately if the ship sinks .The captain of a democracy is the head of the state. So it's not political to blame Donald Trump ,if some disasters take place for which he didn't plan for or demolished allready existing systems. Wouldn't you have blamed Obama or Biden..?

A lib will never let a tragedy go to waste. They came out strong, blaming Trump for cutting their waste, fraud, and abuse as the cause of the flooding. The libs said FEMA could have done more if....I guess they forgot FEMA refused to help Trump supporters during the NC floods and sat by and did nothing while people froze to death in tents. They began this speculation around the same time it became known that a Bill Gates-owned company had been cloud seeding in the area, in the days leading up to the flooding. That is now being investigated. The horrible loss of life and destruction that occurred in the Kerrville-Humble area was historic, and while libs believe they are essential, stopping them from stealing from the American people is a good thing!
Facts... you cut or delay the funding, then you also hurt the service that it provides you. America has built up a lot of safety nets, and a certain President is trying to get rid of all of them because he personally doesn't need them... but the American people still do.

The documents show, however, that hundreds of call center workers at four companies were fired the same day after Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem failed to renew their contracts. According to the documents, FEMA, which has been part of Homeland Security since 2003, answered only around 36% of the 2,363 calls it received on July 6. On July 7, FEMA received 16,419 calls and only answered 2,613 of them, around 16%. The call center workers' contracts were not renewed until Thursday, five days after they expired.

And in this case the failure was in the payment of the Weather watchers which would of gotten a warning out sooner.

They don't give a damn about you or me. Only their ratings and their professional growth.

The flood is no man's fault. Man does not control the weather.
What may have happened is God was punishing Texas for voting republican.
If this had happened in a blue state and someone posted that, you MAGAts would be making jokes about "lib tears".
I am guessing though the couple leans democrat, because trump supporters are incapable of emotions.

I understand this camp had a no tech policy so nobody could tell them the flood was coming. That to me is the real issue here, some kooks running a camp for girls and some of them die.
