New York LOWERS the educational standards for students between grades 3 and 8 in math and reading.

Significant damage was done during Covid and the lockdowns, and students in these grade brackets suffered a lowering of test scores on average of 30 per cent.

Unfortunately, once lowered, the standards will never go back up.

Charles Payne of Fox financial news said it best this morning. (Paraphrasing):

The TRUE white supremacists are the elites of Manhattan, who sit on their various boards and make decisions to lower the educational standards for inner city kids. And yet these same elites would NEVER consider hiring one of those undereducated children to work inside their own companies. Instead, they want to create a permanent underclass, which can only survive by receiving free food, rent subsidies, and welfare.
Kids falling behind because they aren't in classrooms. Masks covering teacher's faces slows development as well. Solution? Just lower the standards.

What does every communist nation rely upon? Dumbing down the public. Ironically, it's always the woke professors who are the first to face firing squads.

@BizSuitStacy A really, really STUPID public will just believe everything they are told to believe by propagandists on television. ALSO...if the public are dumb as posts they will be delighted to pick crops and work in mines and pick up garbage...because they will be making some actual money doing so.

Great now they can fail less miserably.
@RuyLopez Failure is OK these days, but just don’t be a “ deplorable”, otherwise your stuff will get weak !

Yep, the TRUE reasons why 'Covid' just HAPPENED to have escaped from the Wuhan Lab are now playing out - how best to create an underclass - STOP education, so engendering an illeterate underclass - stopping education wouldn't have happened if this Covid nonsense wasn't in place to start with ... GLOBALLY

Well, of course...

The elites need that underclass to vote for the political candidates that keep the elites in power.
4meAndyou · F
@Thinkerbell The STUPID undereducated underclass that can be easily manipulated by teasing them with their own survival...or lack thereof.
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F

Hey, why get educated and work, when you can get a free ride?

Paid for by the middle class, not the elites, of course.
. This says much.
But too, the standards for teachers these days is very much suspect as far as their academic credentials and abilities. , much less the students.
The dumbing down of America.

It’s not surprising to hear because the United States has been pandering to and throwing money at blacks since at least the 1960s.
4meAndyou · F
@Mier91 These are not black children alone. These are children of all colors all over the state of New York.

@4meAndyou look at the big picture.

Or being poor they’d have Little choice but to join the military. Then go off to fight and die for rich peoples greed
4meAndyou · F
@Thevy29 One thing Charles Payne said about it was that the dumber the people become, the more chance there is that they will re elect elite politicians from Manhattan...and similar places.
They should have covered the syllabus in next grades with help of extra classes.

@ABCDEF7 TBH, I don't think that's the Marxist plan. The governor is a radical idiot, and she wants a permanently undereducated underclass in her state, in the belief that if people are dumbed down, they will vote for her.
4meAndyou · F
@Thinkerbell That's the plan.

U.S. educational standards have been slowly eroding for a long time.
In my parent's generation, an average grade was a C (also known as the 'gentleman's C'), nothing to write home about, but not a disgrace either.

Since then, the average has crept up to a B (grade inflation), and now a standing joke is "if you want a good high-school education, go to college." Only it isn't funny.

This latest move by NY State is not creeping any longer; it's falling off a cliff. 🙄
