Where will.people go to retire if Florida is underwater and there is no water in the SW US?

Florida will still have a beech it will just be up around the georgia line

The Northeast and Pacific Northwest are expected to suffer fewer consequences than the rest of the US due to climate change. There are lots of lakes from upstate NY through New England to Maine and those might be the best places to move for the long term.

I don't understand why anybody would go to a hot, humid nightmare of a place, anyway. I'm actually thinking of moving north.

Why would anyone choose to set foot in a dystopian nightmare like Florida?
