Question for conservatives who support the Florida parental rights bill

Given the language of the bill, how should a teacher answer a question from a first grade student about why Billy has two dads and no mom?

Does the teacher just say they can't talk about that? Is that the kind of censorship you really want in our schools?

Just say ask your parents. Teachers have no need to talk about sex and gender with little kids. It's not their place.

American Primary and Secondary education is mediocre at best. Let's focus on reading, writing, math, science, geography and history. We do a bad job as it is and we don't have time for this other stuff.

That's going to be pretty difficult, not talking about mothers and fathers.

@BohemianBoo Why would it difficult? Only teachers can talk about this stuff?
@HoraceGreenley No, but they can. And it's pretty common for teachers to tell kids it's okay to have different kinds of families.
@MasterLee That was a joke about how DeSantis is banning math books.
