Did the Bible come from Sumerians?

In attempting to prove the historical truth of the Bible, the archaeologists and scholars of the 19th century CE revealed that the biblical narratives held as absolute divine truths were later interpretations of the literature of the Sumerians.

Most religions and their rituals are similar to what they had in Mesopotamia …

Sumarians, Akkadians, and Assyrians, all were living in Mesopotamia at the same and different times … by tracking most of the inscriptions left from then to date, we can see so many similarities in many still existing religions (including Abrahamic religions and Zoroastrian ) ….

Gilgamesh is a very very interesting epic from which we can see many traces too …

I’m not familiar with the mythology of the Mesopotamia but I’m sure we can find some similarities in there too ….

Abraham was actually told to leave Sumeria so while he might have had exposure to their gods. He rejected them and by Faith followed where God led him. Most of Genesis is about the Abram/Abraham story.

I can tell you first of all whoever wrote the passenger reading is anti-christian. Using BCE instead of BC is nothing more than downplaying the role of Christ.

Now all of that written is from the Torah it is also known as the Old testament and is very similar to the Quran they are all Divine text and have very similar stories of the dawn of man and God's role in the creation of man.
@dale74 LOL 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 You are way too fucking stupid for words 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🙄🤦‍♀️

“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit” (2 Peter 1:20-12)

I got into some trouble presenting that same case at a theology course run by the Roman Catholic church. But here is my opinion. Studies of the origins of the bible need to be always atleast twofold. One needs to look at the origins of the story and when it could have been written down. There's some evidence to claim that majority of the old testament was written down or transcribed anew after the exile to Babylon thus that explains the similarity of story

Yes the Old Testament most certainly did.

@Greyjedi sorry I spelled the name wrong, his name is Enki not Anki

@Greyjedi That is some interesting parallels. It’s interesting to track the evolution of a belief system.
Greyjedi · M
@Straylight well beliefs are connected the only thing new in Christ ianity is the level blindness to facts that people have. In many societies everyone is so afraid of cults but the biggest there for all to see. People pay money to churches and churches build schools to flaunt their beliefs and corrupt the school system. People in a hypnotic cult fashion say it’s all true and is the only truth, and that anyone who disagrees is evil. The have even started to militarize and march on governments and kill people. These days you don’t really see Greece worshipping the Olympians. These days you don’t see Scandnians worshiping Odin or Loki. You don’t see Mexicans worship the feathered serpent or other more terrifying gods. The only ancient believe with gods that still exists is 🕉️.

Nothing but their stubbornness and own self deception are unique to them. Their god they stole from the jews. Their artist rendering of god they stole from the Greeks and Zeus. their Devil they stole from the Sumerians. Their angels they stole from Jews and Muslims. Their disgust for those who are different they stole from every religion and every race. Their new god they stole from history and corrupted everything word he spoke they even corrupted his name. Their flood they stole from the Sumerians and history. Their fear and hatred of outsiders they stole from other cults. Their weapons they stole from the 🌎. Their hell they stole from Jews. Their hatred of Jews they stole from Muslims. Their heavan they stole from Greek Jews. Their insatiable desire to conquer they stole from the Roman Empire. Their very legitimatey they took from Rome. Their attitude of women being second rate they took from Muslims and neolithic culture. The only other thing i can think of that they created was church ⛪️ buildings themselves.

the philosophical basis of the bible is similar to several older religious/mythological stories
Straylight · 31-35, F
That list alone doesn’t convince me. Is there more to read?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
So Mathew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul were all Sumerians?
Adstar · 56-60, M
Nope... The Bible came from The God of Abraham..
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Well believe it or not Abraham came from Summaria.

The bible was something that was compiled, edited, written, etc over many centuries. There are common motifs across Persia, Mesopotamia and Egypt that also crop up in the Bible. Sumeria itself predates Israel and Judah by quite a bit.

@Emosaur
Why do people wasting time debating about salvation or reincarnation? I’m just curious.
dale74 · M
@Emosaur those he posted do not have anything to do with Christ they are all Old testament

The bible didnt even exist until CE. Many of the myths in Genesis though can be traced back to other cultures though that end up getting twisted and exaggerated over time though.
Most of our religious texts come out of the Mediterranian region, which shares myths with one another.
