I Love My Church and Church Family

Yet not one pastor has rang me or texted me to see how I am.
4meAndyou · F
My former church is sending out emails with updates on all the places they are donating and how they are now funding mask making...and also two of my friends from same church check on me once a month to see if I need anything, because they know I have a dead battery in my car.

If your church has a plan or program to get food to those in need, joining in with that effort will show people that YOU love THEM...and that is how love begins...with you. It's not a tit for tat situation. Your pastors are probably tremendously busy helping parishioners who really need help.

@LilirWyddfa As long as you have food, it sounds like you are safer not seeing your church buddies.
I pray each morning after breakfast and each evening after supper. I always have. Not just now. But the churches! They are a big disappointment. @4meAndyou
Maybe the Lord has this pestilence for a reason. Well I’m sure he has.

Sadly that is something we are losing in general. We use to visit people especially older people or people living alone to check on them and see if they needed help or anything. I’m not even talking about church families or pastors.
Now it seems like people visit or call or text only when they want the help and if you happen to ask if you could help someone they either think your crazy or you want something. We don’t trust and we easily think the worst in others. It is a sad world we live in today. Anyone is very lucky if they have friends that check on them at times in today’s world .

Maybe time for a new shepherd @LilirWyddfa
Yes. You have spoken to me like a shepherd. I was listening to Mr Ramsbottom at Luton. He read Mark chapter 5 the bit about when Jesus was about in the boat. Our Lord was weary like us. He spoke so sweetly to my soul.

A church that I use to go to had a pastor that seemed to know exactly what to say . A lot of times it seemed like he was speaking directly to me .
I use to go all the time me and my daughter never missed a Sunday or wensday when she was a little older. But I have stumbled and fell . The pastor and many of my church friends still pray for me and keep in touch . But I have not found my way back yet. @LilirWyddfa

Have you reached out to them?
I am bleating on the mountain side. @Hoodski

@LilirWyddfa being a bit dramatic
I’m just trying to say that someone can have attended church every week and suddenly we have no contact from the church. @Hoodski

One of the elders called me. Said they were checking on everyone to see if everyone had everything they need and asked if I was still working. Said they were there to help if we need it.
I attended every Sunday and every Tuesday for prayer meeting. I may have dropped dead for all they know. @gregloa

Well here they're calling to remind people that they should still be tithing... Oops I forgot to tell my wife

Sorry,it happens.
Many churches are people that been going there for years and those are the people that always seem to be the ones they care about.
I am not anti church or anti-god I just see this as a sad commentary.
I know the in crowd will be in touch, but the pastor? @SW-User

Complaints like that in England too.
All well and good if you're online. They'll send a 'newsletter'. But many are just in need of a friendly word.
They think we all got what’s app. You seen my phone. Noah would have considered it old fashioned. @Picklebobble2

Depends on how many go to your church and have you called to check on them
What you expected them to care?
@ExperienceDLT I did but they don’t.
@LilirWyddfa most churches unfortunately nowdays only care about how much money you give
Yes. I have been giving my weekly collection to the Savanna education trust. They build schools in Ghana and feed the children each day but the kids are in lockdown. @ExperienceDLT
That's a shame 😟 A rep from the elders e-mailed me.
@LilirWyddfa or are better organized (but point taken: disorganization or no match for caring)
Pastors are supposed to count their sheep. @ImperialAerosolKidFromEP
I do when I’m out on the farm at 4 in the morning and at night.
