I'm a Christian and more than willing to be a friend but getting closer to Jesus is kind of between you and Jesus. He is alive and active in our world and in our lives.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Diotrephes Jesus remains fully God. Paul did not start he joined. You do need to try harder. Too Funny!!!!

Jesus was and is God. He isn't of any particular religion. He did establish the Christian Church and that is enough. The old covenant under which He lived and died and rose again is obsolete and has been replaced.

Do you really hate your family as Jesus said that you should?

I have been reading and scrolling through the comments on my post, and it seems like some are having misunderstandings or disagreements? That's ok. My only goal once again is to be closer to God without any arguments from other people :)
JesusIsWithMe · 18-21, FNew
I am not arguing whether or what is what, again, I just want to be closer to Jesus, and I hope that no one comes to the point of arguing because of my post

@JesusIsWithMe 😁 Amen Jesus is God...

Romans 10:9, "That if you confess with your mouth The Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"

The LORD Jesus in the above verse means The God Jesus.. He is not A Lord, He is THE LORD..

(1 Corinthians 12:3) "Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is The Lord, but by the Holy Ghost."

The Holy Spirit is with you.. 👍

@Adstar my goal from this post is not to argue 😅
JesusIsWithMe · 18-21, FNew
@Adstar so I won't let anyone pull me away from my goal

@JesusIsWithMe =
I want to meet people who can help me to be closer to Jesus

Remember Matthew 15:24 (ERV) = "Jesus answered, “God sent me only to the lost people of Israel.”"

@hippyjoe1955
What has that got to do with things of the Spirit?

Have you forgotten what a bigot the God character is? He hates people of certain ethnic groups or if the person has certain physical disabilites.

@JesusIsWithMe Thats true.. Sad but true..
Adstar · 56-60, M
@JesusIsWithMe But the true Church is not a building it is the body of Christ in the temples of His followers.. The Holy Spirit guides them and they know His voice and follow.. 👍

@Diotrephes Matthew 10:34-38's core message is that following Jesus demands radical, uncompromising loyalty, creating deep division even within families, as His truth (the "sword") separates those who choose Him from those who don't, requiring believers to take up their cross and prioritize Christ above all earthly relationships, even if it brings persecution. Jesus didn't come to bring easy, worldly peace but a transformative, often divisive, confrontation with sin and worldly comfort, forcing a choice: loyalty to Him or to family/self.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@JesusIsWithMe Jesus plainly said that he had only been sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. He was born the king of the Jews and died the king of the Jews. How did you get included when he plainly denied you?

@JesusIsWithMe You are right. If you are a Christian people will recognise it and well react accordingly. Those who are anti Christ will do everything they can do destroy first your beliefs and if that fails then destroy your life. It is kind of funny how the anti Christs all bring up their petty issues with God expecting those who have experienced Christ to suddenly see the wisdom of the anti Christs and deny Jesus. I find it funny. I compare it to a blind man telling a sighted man that rainbows don't exist.
