Christianity is a popular topic. If you read the New Testament carefully and think about what read, you will quickly realize that the Jesus character is the biggest hypocrite in the Bible.

As an intelligent adult, you know right from wrong, good from evil. Jesus liked to tell others what to do but he never followed his own advice. In the end he was evil, which you will see if you actually were to read the story and think about it.

@hippyjoe1955 John and James supposedly had super-powers. Were they afraid to use them to save themselves?

@Diotrephes What super powers do you imagine they had? James was run through with a sword while in the Jewish temple. John was thrown into boiling oil. Do you have an actual point to make? Obviously Jesus died on a cross after being beaten for hours with a cat o nine tails.

Luke 9:54 (NKJV)= "And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?”"

@Diotrephes And did they? They imagined what they didn't have. That is part of the story. So what did Jesus say to all the miracle workers? Matthew 7:21-23

Matthew 7:21-23 (NKJV) = "21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!"

As I said before, the Jesus character is the biggest hypocrite in the Bible.

Matthew 10:7-8 (NKJV) = "7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven [a]is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, [b]cleanse the lepers, [c]raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give."

Matthew 21:21 (NKJV) = "So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done."

Luke 17:6 (NKJV) = "So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you."

So, according to Matthew 21:21 & Luke 17:6, no one in history has ever had any faith in Jesus. You can prove that you do simply by doing what he said a person of faith can do. Start with a small tree because a mountain would cause a lot of damage when you toss it into the sea. Oh, btw, he never did any of those things and neither did any of his apostles.

@Diotrephes And Satan told Jesus to jump off the Temple since the Bible said that He would not be hurt if He did that. Jesus declined. He didn't need the proof and He wasn't about to listen to Satan. Since you represent Satan in this discussion the rest of what you wrote is pretty much nonsense. Personally I have seen miracles that can not be explained. Did I do them? Of course not. God did them in my presence.

@Diotrephes Again with the foolishness? Romans kind of explains that. Maybe if you actually read what it said instead of deliberately misinterpreting it.

@hippyjoe1955 Thanks for the link but the book of Romans is what Paul said; not what Jesus said. And remember, Paul created Christianity, not Jesus. So, in effect, Paul created a false religion. He even said so, in 1 Corinthians chapter 15, when he blabbed about zombies. Are you really looking forward to being a zombie for eternity?

@Diotrephes Go read John 3:3. I know you won't understand it and how it exactly reflects what Paul wrote in Romans but give it a go.

"17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."

In Revelation when Jesus reurns he will torture all of mankind and kill all life and destroy the planet. That doesn't sound like he's doing any saving.

Have you forgotten what a bigot the God character is? He hates people of certain ethnic groups or if the person has certain physical disabilites.

@Diotrephes You need to repent of this horrendous unbelief and blackened hardness of your heart before God summons you to His Judgment seat when you pass on from this life, your expiration date is known only to Him and I highly suggest you look into the contents of your heart and see the hatred that spews out of it, do you not understand that you are being used by satan and his demons to spread hatred everywhere you go? Look at what you are saying to these people. Seriously get right with Jesus today before you discover the hard way when you face Him, there will be no arguments or mockery or laughing only raw truth. I will be praying for the salvation of your soul.

@Lushiro i dont think either that it is necessary to actually hate parents. I admit, there are things that my parents do that make me feel upset, but to truly hate them? Why? What's the reason? Sure, I sometimes hope that they can be someone who can be emotionally present when I need them, but I never would actually hate them. I still love them, even though sometimes, I might not show it, especially if I'm upset, but again, at this point, hating them is not a key to anything

@JesusIsWithMe Jesus is not telling us to literally hate our patents He is telling us to not compromise our faith for anyone and that He is worth the journey of being Christian over anything in the world. He is telling us to be willing to die for our faith in Him because He is just that worth, many many Martyrs died for the faith because they knew Jesus is the real deal and that His Love is worth dying for. Heaven is worth dying for because our lives on this Earth are so short. If our parents or the world try to tell us to not follow Jesus we must refuse them because Jesus is our reward and He alone makes us happy and can promise us eternal happiness.
