I'm a Christian and more than willing to be a friend but getting closer to Jesus is kind of between you and Jesus. He is alive and active in our world and in our lives.

Remember, Jesus was not a Christian. And the story says that he won't return until a magic number of believers have been murdered for their faith (Revelation 6:9-11). That means that he is not alive and active in our world. It's been 2,000 years (human time) but only 2 days God time. If he was still wiggling on the cross that would be impressive!!
And never forget, Christanity is based upon the belief in zombies. 1 Corinthians chapter 15.

There are supposed to be billboards in Texas that say that Jesus isn't God. The Bible says that David was Jesus' daddy.
And Paul started Christianity, not Jesus.
