What is unique about the Bible?

It was written by many men over many centuries. The earliest book we have is Job which was possibly written before Noah's flood. The various authors throughout the writing of the Bible all shared similar experiences. Moses redacted the Genesis accounts and added some of his own insights. The major and minor prophets all contributed to the corpus of the Bible but each wrote uniquely yet all shared similar experiences. We honestly don't know how many people contributed as we are not sure of the names of the authors of all the Psalms and proverbs and even in the New Testament we are not sure of the names of all the authors such as the author of Hebrews. Yet for all the over 2000 years of the writing of the Bible the message is basically the same. It points to a perfect God creating a perfect world who allowed a sinful creation such is satan to tempt the ones made in God's own image. Those made in God's image fell and passed on their sin nature to their offspring. Yet throughout this entire time God's own promises held. He would redeem His fallen creation and grant eternal life to those who trust in Him and His atonement. Finally after thousands of years the Redeemer came, He was Fully God yet submitted unto death in accordance with what the prophets of old had written. He was Crucified, Died and on the third day Rose Again. Those who trust Him know this to be true and are saved. Those who do not trust Him deny Him and His Salvatory work and either deny or seek another. There is no other. Jesus alone is the Salvation of mankind. Those who place their trust in HIm He shall in now way turn away. Those who deny Him or seek another stand condemned already for they have abandoned the Gift Given to us unto salvation. For it is by Grace (Gift) we are saved through Faith, not of our own lest anyone boast. It is a Gift of God.

There was no Noah's flood. The fact that anyone believes that is incredibly sad.

@SW-User And you were there to prove it. Eye witness account from @SW-User . Too funny. Son one of the best things you can do is to be silent and thought a fool rather than post on SW and remove all doubt.

That story was based on the Epic of Gilgamesh. There has never been a worldwide flood. @hippyjoe1955

There is zero evidence of a worldwide flood, Noah's ark isn't even close to believable. Most of the bible is just stolen and repurposed folklore from earlier religions. Have you done any research at all? @hippyjoe1955

@SW-User except all the accounts of a flood from all over the world. Strange how that works
@hippyjoe1955 Not so funny. Since the Earth is mostly water, flood stories would be common. How many resurrection stories are in the various cultures? Does earlier make it more credible? If the tale is on stone or clay, then it’s inferior to scrolled parchment?

The mythology is no different.

@BlueSkyKing And you think that is proof ....... WHY?

The Noah flood is simply a war story about the invasion of the land by a large foreign army. It has absolutely nothing to do with a water flood. The countries that existed before the event existed after the event . People keep ignorning the passage that tells them not to believe in silly Jewish myths. They simply love those lies.

@SW-User archeology proves the flood.

@Diotrephes those silly myth peddling Jews. Lol
@hippyjoe1955 Where did I suggest proof?

The only one that is even believable is the Noah Account. A little raft made of reeds just doesn't cut it.

Why is the biblical flood believable? It’s a made up story, not an account.
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@BlueSkyKing The point remains that the Bible has been proven true over and over and over again.

@AthrillatheHunt
those silly myth peddling Jews. Lol

As it says in Titus 1:14 (CEV) =
"Don't pay any attention to any of those senseless Jewish stories and human commands. These are made up by people who won't obey the truth."
@hippyjoe1955 Which parts? Also why isn’t there anything about the creatures and bacteria that can seen with a microscope? Nothing about the vastness of the universe that man made tools are showing us? Your jealous, know nothing, iron fearing god does not impress.

@BlueSkyKing I hope that makes a lot more sense in your head than it does after you posted it in SW. Care to try again?
