@Pikachu and pork
@BiblicalWarrior

yup. And yet there seem to be an awful lot of christians eating pork and shellfish but calling homosexuality an abomination😏
BiblicalWarrior · 51-55, M
@Pikachu That's because they believe and have been taught, erroneously, that the dietary and other laws from the OT have been done away with and thus Christians do not have to obey them, even though Jesus Himself made it plain that He did NOT come to abolish the law or the prophets, and that if we love Him we are to keep His commandments.
@BiblicalWarrior

That's the same argument i make. But christian apologetics still allow them to ignore the less palatable parts of the old testament

@Pikachu This is why I am working with a few local people to try and establish a house church based solely on the Bible, both Old and New Testaments.

@SpiritualMan Read further down in Acts Chapter 10 and you will see that the vision had nothing to do with clean and unclean foods at all.

@SpiritualMan Even Peter himself recognized that the vision was not about food.

@SpiritualMan "But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean." Seems pretty clear to me.

@SpiritualMan He was addressing the Parisee's tradition of ritual washing before eating. Context, brother.

@SpiritualMan Did you see god writing the new testament or is it that you believe men when they say god came to me and said this. God writing and publishing books somewhere is likely not probable.

@SpiritualMan So the men were moved by the holy spirit to suddenly be OK with eating shellfish but not homosexuality?
