I am starting to see

I am starting to see why so many people believe that God is good, and He "wrote" the bible.
I just find myself continually astounded by the wisdom in it. You will read something and it will mean nothing for years...until one day it's put in to context in your life and you finally see something you couldn't before.
I'm not going to say the bible is entirely wisdom, there's enough mankind in there too.

This is my new favourite quote though:
“If our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart and knows all things.” (1 John 3:20)

And this one actually:
“There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)

Yes that is God's nature. He is always good. There is no sin in him and yes he did write the Bible. Scripture says so. I never use a little "g" when I talk about God. The little "g" is only used when we talk about the man-made gods of this world. Idols.

When one accepts Jesus as their personal Savior, only then does the Holy Spirit come to them, dwell in them, teach and guide them, and give them understanding of God's Word. I love what you said about there is no more condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. So true. But I hope people will understand that it is not Christ who condemns anyone, but rather it is sin that condemns us, until Christ forgives us of our sins as we come to him, and redeems/saves us.

It is no ordinary book. It is totally full of wisdom and none of man's flawed wisdom. Scripture tells us it is divinely written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, not entrusted to just any person, but given to holy men of old under the direction of the Holy Spirit.

The scripture that specifically says the Bible was not entrusted to just any person, but written by "holy men of God" as they were "moved by the Holy Spirit" is 2 Peter 1:21.

It emphasizes that scripture is God's word, not just human ideas, and serves as a reliable guide, like a light in darkness, until Christ's return, making it authoritative for faith and life. His Word is a light unto our path and a lamp unto our feet.

2 Peter 1:21 For no such prophecy was ever brought forth by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

I love both of those quotes. That's how loving our God is ❤

@PatientlyWaiting25 that’s complete nonsense. It doesn’t show that he’s loving at all.

@Ferise1 someone said to me to think of it like, 'don't ask yourself what you think of you, don't trust your heart in this case...trust god''. For some people things like this help unlock a greater understanding of how to learn to be more compassionate and loving towards yourself.
Your comment about the Bible not being entirely wisdom because of "enough mankind in there too" seems to imply that you view the Bible as a human book with some divine insights, rather than being fully inspired by God. How do you feel about that? Do you think the Bible was fully inspired by God? If so, how could it be called divine? Scripture said it is "God breathed" by the Holy Spirit, and inspired by him, giving holy men of old what to write down. So it is written by the Holy Spirit. It is not flawed by man and his thoughts.

@LadyGrace I think something can be imperfect and created or inspired by god. It doesn’t mean that god is imperfect. Take us for example, created by god and in his image and also imperfect. It’s the nature of our consciousness that we can interpret things ourselves and we can also put these interpretations in to the things we work on, even when we are meant to be distilling the true word of god.
The bible didn’t just spring out of the ground, god inspired people and they wrote what they wrote: gods word in the bible has been thru the filtering and bias and ignorance of the people who wrote and compiled it. That’s what I think, but nobody has to agree.
@Vengabus I have to go with what the Bible says. When God created everything, it was good and it was perfect. God is perfect. His Word is perfect. He did not leave mankind with a flawed doctrine of instruction. While it's true that human hands were involved in writing and transmitting the Bible, God superintended the process, ensuring that His message was preserved and communicated accurately. God breathed out His word not to just anyone, but through holy men of old, writing under the direction of the Holy Spirit giving them what to say and write, conveying His perfect message. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, 'All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.' God has preserved His word and it remains authoritative and reliable for us today. Trust is key. So is faith.

How do you determine what is the true message of God, if the Bible is corrupted?

In the beginning there was no sin in the world. The Garden of Eden was a perfect paradise. It was man, himself, who decided to sin against God, thus introducing sin into the world. The Bible says that God does not make mistakes. He did not. And cannot. He is sinless, so he cannot make mistakes/errors. However, in man's rebellion to have his own way, it is he that sinned against God in disobedience.

It is the Holy Spirit that guides one's understanding of scripture, rather than relying solely on human interpretation. While human flaws can lead to misinterpretation, it's possible to understand God's word accurately when guided by the Holy Spirit. When reading the bible, it is important to consider the whole context in which it is written, the history behind it, in whom was being spoken to, why, and the period it was written in. All these are important in understanding God's Word.

It's not about claiming absolute certainty or perfection, but about seeking guidance and being open to the Spirit's leading. Not everyone who interprets scripture is flawed, and with a willingness to listen to the Spirit and consider the context, it's possible to gain a deep understanding of God's word. It's possible to interpret scripture accurately, when we allow the Spirit to lead us. I understand that you may have a different view, but I'm concerned that your approach might lead people to doubt that they can truly understand God's word. I want to encourage people to seek guidance from the Holy Spirit and to trust in His ability to reveal truth to us. With the Holy Spirit's guidance, it's possible to gain a genuine understanding of God's word.
