Vengabus I have to go with what the Bible says. When God created everything, it was good and it was perfect. God is perfect. His Word is perfect. He did not leave mankind with a flawed doctrine of instruction. While it's true that human hands were involved in writing and transmitting the Bible, God superintended the process, ensuring that His message was preserved and communicated accurately. God breathed out His word not to just anyone, but through
holy men of old, writing under the direction of the Holy Spirit giving them what to say and write, conveying His perfect message. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, 'All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.' God has preserved His word and it remains authoritative and reliable for us today. Trust is key. So is faith.
How do you determine what is the true message of God, if the Bible is corrupted?
In the beginning there was no sin in the world. The Garden of Eden was a perfect paradise. It was man, himself, who decided to sin against God, thus introducing sin into the world. The Bible says that God does not make mistakes. He did not. And cannot. He is sinless, so he cannot make mistakes/errors. However, in man's rebellion to have his own way, it is he that sinned against God in disobedience.
It is the Holy Spirit that guides one's understanding of scripture, rather than relying solely on human interpretation. While human flaws can lead to misinterpretation, it's possible to understand God's word accurately when guided by the Holy Spirit. When reading the bible, it is important to consider the whole context in which it is written, the history behind it, in whom was being spoken to, why, and the period it was written in. All these are important in understanding God's Word.
It's not about claiming absolute certainty or perfection, but about seeking guidance and being open to the Spirit's leading. Not everyone who interprets scripture is flawed, and with a willingness to listen to the Spirit and consider the context, it's possible to gain a deep understanding of God's word. It's possible to interpret scripture accurately, when we allow the Spirit to lead us. I understand that you may have a different view, but I'm concerned that your approach might lead people to doubt that they can truly understand God's word. I want to encourage people to seek guidance from the Holy Spirit and to trust in His ability to reveal truth to us. With the Holy Spirit's guidance, it's possible to gain a genuine understanding of God's word.
