How do you feel about evangelizing?

I mean telling random people in the street about god seems a little assuming no? Saying you need to accept Jesus into your life and be born again to get into heaven. Just random old man said that while we ( my mental health outreach worker and I were walking by. ) she already believes in Jesus as savior and lord and I was just like my attitude was ok old man whatever you say and I shrugged it off. I also don’t know many old people who do fist bumps lol. I told her that was quite random thing to say. Next thing you know some random stranger will be inviting me to their worship services. That will be next I’m sure. Since he just continued walking I was like yeah I’ll keep my mouth shut and let it go. Had he been following us or began the line into forceful territory I might have given him a tongue lashing. Why this need to evangelize to people? Just live your life and be a good example. My mental health outreach worker is cool though she never pushed her Christianity on me. She did say that if I believed in a higher power when I told her of some of my struggles with losing people that maybe saying she didn’t know if I believed in any higher power or not, but in her experience everything is part of a plan and god gives you the brain to choose what is good or right for you. Interesting conversation. That’s how I found out she was brought up as a Christian. She says there are many beliefs and I think she was Episcopalian Christian and one part of the church came from another. She respects everybody and doesn’t impose her beliefs on you. She said if I believed in a higher power she didn’t know. not that I should believe in a higher power. I like my mental health care team I almost view them as friends. It’s too bad they are getting paid to be with me. I am a mental health client in the end.
