There's a lot of fakeness and performance in modern Christianity or Churchianity, where the people act very polished and business professional and are

very careful in what they say and they hide their feelings and act as though they're always happy and have a perfect, wonderful life and have it all together. But the Bible is a very raw and real book that has the unfiltered messiness of life in it, where great men of God are sometimes feeling completely broken, hopeless, struggling with depression, even to the degree of being suicidal. The Bible doesn't paint a pretty beautiful picture of everyone in the Bible. Let's see some of those super dark times that great men in the Bible were in.

Jeremiah 20:14-15 - Cursed be the day wherein I was born: let not the day wherein my mother bare me be blessed. Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born unto thee; making him very glad.

Jonah 4:3 - Therefore now, O Lord, take, I beseech thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live.

Jonah 4:8-9 - And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live. And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death.

1 Kings 19:4 - But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

2 Corinthians 1:8 - For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:

Romans 9:1-3 - I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:

Philippians 1:21 - For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Philippians 1:23-24 - For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

Listen, this world is a dark, deceitful, evil and wicked place and if you're depressed, that is probably the reason why. So that doesn't make you mentally ill. That means that there is something right with you because you are so sensitive to such a crazy world. And you are just the kind of person God is looking for. You're just the type of person that God wants to use.

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ said in Matthew 11:28-30 - Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.:

Anogostics or atheism seems so sensible in light of these posts. Especially if you’re a woman.

@AdmiralPrune Yeah, but what you have to understand is that the Bible commands that certain people be put to death, not by me, not by Christians, not by any civilians, but rather that the governments job is to punish criminals and to execute those who have committed capital crimes, and according to the Bible, witchcraft is a capital crime. Putting witches to death is not murder, it's capital punishment.

Also, "Thou shalt not kill" is the 6th commandment, not the first. The first commandment is "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." (Exodus 20:3).
