How is what is energy restricting God?

Something that has been determined in science thousands of years after what was already written in the Bible about God and you don't see it, fine don't.

Everything, everything, in existence is a form of energy, even matter so says the famous scientist Einstein.

Humans are made of atoms, the nuclei within the atom is constantly moving and that makes humans living energy, energy with life.

Each of our bodies is proof of Einstein's equation - Big Think https://bigthink.com/hard-science/your-body-energy-field-proof-einstein-equation/#:~:text=Incredibly%2C%20what%20this%20all%20means,held%20together%20by%20electromagnetic%20energy.

Everything in existence is a part of God!

Quantum physics the study of matter and energy and they are making new discoveries frequently. Can you say it limits God!

And the last paragraph in this article tells us that science and religion is merging closer some will see and others won't.

It is highly possible and probable that God is a form of living energy / energy that has life / energy that is capable of creating life / energy that is self-sustaining. You disagree fine by me.

@Charity Please read my response where I discuss different paradigms.

Incidentally , I think you are bringing in New Age and confusing it with Science.

A good response to New Age:

It may help.

God has characteristics of goodness, compassion, mercy, righteousness, holy, love This cannot be trfucrd to energy. He is the creator. Not part of creation. We have only partial knowledge if Him.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@Charity couldn’t agree more about everything being about energy.

I don’t know and I don’t worry about it. My view of the Creator is that the answer could be male, female, both, none, other.

When and if we learn to follow the clear rules we were given, we can worry about the details, if they still matter.

In the common usage of the term Christian, I probably don’t qualify.

God the Father is Spirit / he was not created - he cannot be destroyed - he can change forms....... Wow law conservation tells us energy cannot be created, energy cannot be destroy, but energy can change forms........ Wow God and energy exist exactly alike and what was said about God in the Bible was written thousands of years before a man's knowledge of the laws of conservation existed

God our Father has no gender as we understand it. Male, female and all those new named genders in between are for man......... He chose to be identified as male therefore we humans identify him as male.

A male body was chosen to give housing to Jesus when he walked the Earth.

The Bible in 1 John 3:2 tells us in the new Heaven and new earth will be like Jesus and we will see him as he truly is. he is not human

@Charity Conservation of energy . That’s Newtonian Physics. Dont restrict God to that!

In different paradigms questions cease to have meaning.

Let’s explore this by looking at an electron.
The question I pose is , ‘What colour is an electron?’
In the paradigm of Classical Physics, that would have meaning. You can think of a little spinning sphere, orbiting a nucleus. Something like the Earth orbiting the Sun. In the case of the Earth, it is blue.
But in the paradigm of Quantum Physics, an electron is not even a particle, it has properties of a wave, simultaneously.

Let’s look at another. Between the Flat Earth and Classical Physics, I pose the question, ‘What happens if you fall off the edge of the Earth?’ It has meaning in the Flat Earth paradigm. But is gibberish in Classical Physics.

So then to the question you pose. ‘What sex has God?’. It has no meaning.
Thodsis · 51-55, M
I find this question a bit exclusionary.

Surely the opinions of Steves, Annes, and Penelopes should count?....
Pfuzylogic · M
Most think of God as an elderly man as depicted by Michelangelo on the Sistine Chapel ceiling. There are a few unscriptural aspects of this painting which can be attributed to artistic license but in the second commandment it states that “ You shall not make a false image of me”. Michelangelo depicts God as a man, but that doesn’t mean it’s accurate.
Pfuzylogic · M
@AthrillatheHunt I am reserved about looking at masculine or feminine form of a word. I do see a patriarchy with Abraham though.
Pfuzylogic · M
@ItsMeMorgue @AthrillatheHunt
Abraham came from Sumeria but God asked him to leave. There was a relationship between Abraham and God based on Faith and trust. That which came from Abraham was neither polytheistic or woman based.
Judaism is a direct result of Abraham and is detailed in the Old Testament or the Torah.
It isn’t that complicated.
ItsMeMorgue · 46-50, F
@Pfuzylogic While it's true that the tradition founded by Abraham was not polytheistic, that is not what I'm talking about. Nor was Judaism created by Abraham. It evolved from the earlier Canaanite religion. Yahweh as the Hebrews defined him was a combination of El, the head of the Canaanite pantheon, and Yahweh, God of the forge. It's even been speculated that Yahweh was a merging of two gods, Yah and Weh.
PatientlyWaiting25 · 46-50, F
Jesus taught us how to pray and used the words "Our father"
ArishMell · 70-79, M
No-one can "know" irrespective of belief; but the logical lack of any sex, hence "It", seems rather too brusque and impersonal, even insulting.

God's "gender" and character were set by the leaders of a tribal society coalescing into a distinct, deeply patriarchal culture a few thousand years ago.

They must have adapted older beliefs and invented new ones in the process, to create their own faith as that culture's foundation; but evidently shrank from thinking a deity can be female or neuter.

I don't think He needs one. If He does have one I have no way of knowing which it might be.

In English it has always been normal to use male pronouns when the sex is not known, so we refer to Him that way.
male, says so in the song. Andy walked with me

Female( I’m not a Christian) Christians aren’t the only ones that believe in God you know

"He" refers to male, "she" refers to female. It's not complicated at all.
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@RodneyTrotter1 also where is our mother?
RodneyTrotter1 · 100+, M
@Ferise1 Mine's in bed having a kip.
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@RodneyTrotter1 seriously you don’t understand my question?
Mcmarie90 · 31-35, F
Male, as Jesus often refers to Him as His Father in heaven.
Kiesel · 56-60, M
No gender.

My understanding is that neither Supersoul nor Soul have a gender or even a specific form.

Common sense.
NOT Transgender that is for sure

God is a spirit
Zeusdelight · 61-69, M
God, being a Spirit, whom people believe in, has no sex. To allocate a sex is to anthropomorphise the being.

The Bible is a collection of numerous pieces of writing written in a strongly patriarchal society. The most prominent person in that Book is unsurprisingly allocated a male form.
ArtieKat · M
@Zeusdelight Good reasoning
Lostwithielle · New
It would make sense to refer to the Creator (if there is one) as Female. After all, life comes from the Mother.
Was looking for this response. @Lostwithielle
Lostwithielle · New
@deathfairy It would make sense, both logically and spiritually to me. :)
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
In every language with masculine feminine words our creator is given a masculine title. Women give birth but its a mans seed that produces life.
mossyboots · 51-55, F
The Bible refers to God as a 'He' and the angels are called 'sons of God'. Females were obviously made only for reproduction on earth. God being the father and head = male
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
@mossyboots
why would God have a gender? It’s proof it’s man-made.
mossyboots · 51-55, F
@Ferise1 Because He refers to himself as a 'father'.to mankind but not in the physical sense because the Bible says he is a spirit. If he is the creator and refers to himself as a father, humans have an understanding of what a father is. That is why.
You are repeating yourself with your small mindedness.

It refers to God as "He" throughout the Bible and Koran.
meJess · F
If God made everything do you think such an entity has personal limitations?
RodneyTrotter1 · 100+, M
@meJess Not at all, God's a very clever bloke.
IM5688 · 70-79, M
According to Genesis, when God created Adam, He created Adam in His own image. Since Adam was a male, one can assume that God is also a male.
ItsMeMorgue · 46-50, F
@IM5688 So does that mean God has a penis?
Pfuzylogic · M
Jesus was male God in flesh and Adam the first creation was male. The Father has no gender.
Pfuzylogic · M
@ItsMeMorgue I am totally comfortable with the term Father and I think you are attempting to assign gender to God when this assumption is nothing more than a trend of this last generation.
God does not change.
God made humans male and female.
God is the Creator and awesome to even think on.
ItsMeMorgue · 46-50, F
@Pfuzylogic
I am totally comfortable with the term Father...
As a man, I'm sure you are.

@ItsMeMorgue
As I said before, God is above gender concepts.
Why is this 'robot' question directed only at Christians? Does the SW robot have an agenda?
onewithshoes · 26-30, F
@RogueLodyte
Glad to see someone ask a question like this.🤔 I've wondered many things about this 'robot'.🤔
@onewithshoes Yeah, I always thought 'robots' were incapable of bias, emotions, and judgement.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@RogueLodyte Yes - being a stirrer! I expect the "robot" is actually the administrators.
