Christians, what is God's gender? And how do you know?

Most think of God as an elderly man as depicted by Michelangelo on the Sistine Chapel ceiling. There are a few unscriptural aspects of this painting which can be attributed to artistic license but in the second commandment it states that “ You shall not make a false image of me”. Michelangelo depicts God as a man, but that doesn’t mean it’s accurate.

@ItsMeMorgue This I understand, he was Catholic and I do know that he did not follow normal Catholic doctrine. He took an immense amount of unlicensed freedom with his art.
