Here's an actual question: If God wants to save as many people as possible, why has he not PROVED beyond any doubt that he is real?

If he wants to save me, if he wants to make sure you do not fall away from faith...why doesn't he make sure we all know that he is the real deal?

Maybe he wants us to have faith
@Penny

Maybe he does.

But i then wonder a) why having faith is the priority over saving souls and
b) why that priority changed because in Biblical times he made his presence and will known in a very unequivocal way and all the times people fell away from him were a result of his absence.

@Pikachu this is only because people had faith in what other people said happenned
@Penny

Sorry, i didn't follow. Can you rephrase?
Penny · 46-50, F
@Pikachu there was no proof back then either. Only witness accounts just like today

Also i do believe its possible souls are saved by faith and perhaps sometimes faith alone
@Penny

Weeeeelllll...i'm not sure that's quite true.
Because ostensibly back then, not only were there Prophets who were meant to be in direct communication with god but the things they were saying were directly backed up by real events.
Moses is all "Let my people go" and God is all "Have some plagues, Egypt. I'm part the Reed sea for y'all too". Chasms opening, mana falling from the sky, pillars of fire, destruction of cities.

God was apparently making his presence known all over the place back then so apparently faith wasn't the priority but rather obedience .

@Pikachu maybe all our prophets are locked up in the loony bin and drugged nowadays. But yeah i hear you though the bible is just a storywhether it be true or not.i dont base my faith in the bible butby shit that actually happened to me
@Penny

lol maybe.
I know personal experience can be powerful.

@Pikachu maybe all the prophets went to hell because they knew instead of having faith. A bit of martyrdom.
@ViciDraco

Well we know at least a few of them already are in heaven
