Removing the weeds

Today at church we read the parable of the weeds among the wheat from the Gospel of Matthew. This parable represents the evil that gets injected into the world. Although the reflection from today talks about the good and evil in the world but also in our own lives. We all sin and and have weeds growing in our own lives aswell even if we are Christian. It is a good reminder to try and weed out our own lives too.

Sadly my experience of church today was not good. I tried to help someone after the service. I must have gone to the church of the immaculate unkindness.
@SW-User Just remembered this now, duly noted my apologies for sincere advice 👎

@LadyGrace Thanks Grace, I’m meditating on the Proverbs at the moment which are giving me insights.
@SW-User I'm proud of you. Not many people take the time to read the Bible. Good for you. 👍🙏🤗

Not weeds but tares::

(Matthew 13:24-30) "¶ Another parable put he forth unto them, saying,[c=BF0000] The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:[/c] {25} [c=BF0000]But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way[/c]. {26} [c=BF0000]But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.[/c] {27} [c=BF0000]So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?[/c] {28} [c=BF0000]He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?[/c] {29}[c=BF0000] But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.[/c] {30} [c=BF0000]Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn[/c]."

The Wheat = True followers of The LORD Jesus..

The Tares = False followers of The LORD Jesus.. Or followers of another fake jesus..

Young Tares look very much like young wheat plants.. Almost impossible to tell them apart.. It is only later that it becomes more clear because the tares produce no seeds.. No fruit..

The LORD allows the false Christian tares to exist along with the true Christians untill the harvest time ( the final judgement )

At the final judgement the Angels (reapers ) will gather the false Christians first and cast them into the lake of fire (burn them) and then the true Christians wheat into His barn ( The New Jerusalem)

@Adstar you've got that right!!

@Adstar i dont follow the KJV. But if you want to be technical, the greek word used in this passage is zizania which is known as darnel weed. The proper name for this weed is Lolium temulentum. It is known to cause vomitting and nasuea if consumed. But this is still a weed.

@Random3838 yes,that's right, so it's seeds had to be separated from the grain

Not about removing the weeds, not at all, but all about the wheat still growing. We are all sinners and stay that. To deny that would be really dishonest. What to do? To be the wheat that is still growing despite everything else, including the bad soil where the original grain fell

@Random3838 I extend my sincere condolences for your horrific loss.
@val70 Jesus can cure anything He sees fit.
Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, but the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the Word, and he becomes unfruitful. Matthew 13:22

Love that parable, let them grow together until the harvest which is the judgement at the end of time and they will then be separated
@TheWildEcho this! 👆🏻
Amen, may we grow in our sanctification!
