Removing the weeds

Today at church we read the parable of the weeds among the wheat from the Gospel of Matthew. This parable represents the evil that gets injected into the world. Although the reflection from today talks about the good and evil in the world but also in our own lives. We all sin and and have weeds growing in our own lives aswell even if we are Christian. It is a good reminder to try and weed out our own lives too.

Sadly my experience of church today was not good. I tried to help someone after the service. I must have gone to the church of the immaculate unkindness.

@SW-User sorry to hear that.

@SW-User there's still plenty of good ones around, though sadly some are not following God's teaching

@SW-User I believe Satan has crept in many churches and this "freedom" movement is not christian at all and it is changing people. Many are not reading their Bibles but are being changed by political propaganda and movies instead of following Jesus. I have a hard time finding a Biblical church.

@Carazaa you can't blame satan for everything. Sometimes, we are just horrible people all on our own.

If i am rude or hateful to someone, i cant say "it was satan, not me". We make a choice to do wrong and the blame is on us.

Granted, satan does influence but he doesnt control us like puppets.

@Random3838 I completely agree, but what I mean is that many are not christians at all in churches nowadays. God is not there, God is "in the air" using the internet to spread the Gospel I believe. When God said Satan will stand in the Holy place, he meant a few things, one I believe is in the last days he said "get out", He also said The Gospel will go out to the whole world and then the end. So we are at the end. We don't have long now. Have prayer partners and read your Bible, and be loving to everyone. Mean people is one of the signs that we are the last generation according to Jesus. God gave you a sign.

@TheWildEcho I’ve discussed this with one of my friends off line. He thinks, like you, I should find another Christian Community, as this has happened too many times there. Stay clear, do not be lead into temptation. No good stirring them all up, it will only rebound. I’ll give it some prayer.
@SW-User Sorry to hear that, always look to God for inspiration, not other Christians, God will never let you down!

@BritishFailedAesthetic so I will not listen to you
@SW-User that doesn't mean all are bad. Try to find a good church that actually lives according to scripture and the will of God. There are loving churches out there. You may have to look but they are there
@SW-User Just remembered this now, duly noted my apologies for sincere advice 👎

@LadyGrace Thanks Grace, I’m meditating on the Proverbs at the moment which are giving me insights.
@SW-User I'm proud of you. Not many people take the time to read the Bible. Good for you. 👍🙏🤗
