People make God seem hostile because they lack the intellectual capacity of His word. They lack the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding that is found in His word. People do not read their word to understand but just for the sake of doing it.

"You shall acknowledge no God but me. . . . You are destroyed, Israel. . . . The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their pregnant women ripped open." (Hosea 13:4, 9, 16 New International Version)

yep sounds like a pretty chill guy

@bugeye What's the old saying? Retribution upon the third and fourth generation for an eye, or something like that?

@bugeye If thats going to happen ( and it is going to happen ) The God has given the truth... Now it is up to people to respond to His Word..
Or you just try anything to justify cruelty in the Bible and the rotten sense of morality you christians derive from it by slandering the intellectual capacity of others.

People who do not have love for the gospel truth can read the Bible not having the guidance of the Holy Spirit.. Therefore they create their own religion out of the Bible while never being a real Christian..

Did God create them with the lack of intellectual capacity to understand his word? Or does God lack the ability to craft his word in such a way as to be understood by those with low intellectual capacity?

From an intellectual stand point, if you are starting from the concept of a perfect creator, then any failings on the part of his creation were either purposefully built in (malice) or unintended (incompetence).

Or, do you subscribe to the notion that God is not perfect?
