So the CHRISTIAN GOD Bringing His People To HEAVEN (your Rapture) was a Novel New Thing and Sounded Good to IGNORANT PEOPLE to whom Fire was still magic!

Jesus appeared in the clouds in 70 AD, especially during the siege of Jerusalem by the Romans. The period of peace, prosperity, and righteousness will come next, possibly soon, and then after that, the Gog/Magog war, TOTAL destruction as everything is burned in fire, the Final Judgment, and then the New Heaven and New Earth. There might be a rapture connected with the TOTAL destruction after the Gog/Magog war. The bible verses that talk about the rapture do not connect it with the Tribulation, we only READ INTO the verses ASSUMING that is what it means. Nothing in the biblical language or Greek says that it MUST be The Tribulation and then IMMEDIATELY the 1,000 years, in fact some scholars say that the Greek Grammar says that the 1,000 could be a long period of time after the Tribulation.

Whether it occurs or not does not impact my faith, and, frankly, is above my paygrade.

I cannot affect it by worrying about it, discussing it, conjecturing about it, etc.

So I view such things as striving after wind.

Depends on how you define "rapture". Yes, I believe the verse you quoted. However, I do not believe in a "thousand year reign" on earth. Nor do I believe that the unrighteous will stay on earth for a period of time after the righteous are raised.
