Do you think Tom Cruise is overrated?
He's just ok looks and acting wise. Honestly I think he thinks too much of himself but people seem to be gaga over him

He has become a great actor , Iconic . He has a lot of experience from doing really good movies for 40 years . The stunts he did personally in Mission Impossible were very dangerous ( in a helicopter he had to learn how to fly for the movie) . He gives them his all . Is he quirky and odd ! A little . But he is famous , very accomplished , and has made several fortunes . Good for him . I enjoy his work , and as a pilot appreciate his skills and intelligence .

@TexChik i really cannot think of a megastar today that compares. some names that do come to mind can't even meet tom cruise halfway: the rock, john cena, dave bautista, chris hemsworth (or jason momoa?) another way, i have 100 bucks to spend on a night out and movie: if there's a new tom cruise movie i'm going to see it no matter what else is playing...

It’s so funny, I don’t know anyone personally who’s that impressed with him. I used to think he was cute, and he still looks pretty good. He’s a decent actor but offscreen something comes through during interviews that seems a bit "off". I don’t know, it might well have to do with his Scientology affiliation.

here's my wholly fabricated and uninformed opinion of this person whom i never met and know nothing about
acting 7.5 / 10 - action & thrillers are his genre and he does it better than most actors over the last 30 years. limited range, but hey, stick to what you're good at!
looks 8 / 10 - if i could look half as good in my 60s it would be a miracle
conceit 11 / 10 - let's be fair tho, he swims with man eating sharks in Hollywood. the only worse place to live (and thrive!) is politics
stans 1 / 10 - yes, there's a maniacal and vocal minority of stans out there who will slit your throat for uttering a mean word about tom cruise (Scientologists)
diner guest 0 / 10 - invited him to my annual summer time soirée on numerous occasions and he NEVER showed up 😞
