@kodiac It is very sad when priests harm young parishioners when they are sought out for spiritual salvation and guidance. This new Pope will increase the health of the Catholic Church by the changes he has currently made to revitalize the clergy.
@bijouxbroussard The word is that he has been living in South America. He became a Cardinal 2 years ago and a perfect counterpoint to the current leader here!
@sarabee1995 Sonce he worked with Pope Francis he is very aligned with his philosophy. He became Cardinal only 2 years ago. I find him as a very important unifying force that won’t let the “beaurocracy of the Church to impede the advancement of his concerns and particularly making sure that the congregation feels in touch with the pastorate. He mentioned the wind of the Holy Spirit in change and I personally felt that very encouraging!
@Pfuzylogic Yeah, so I read a lot about him last night and am very encouraged. And, of course, I especially like that he would likely be following in Francis' footsteps. I was afraid that the college would swing the other way as pendulums often do. :)
@sarabee1995 They seemed to want to promote the direction that Pope Francis was going in. I am encouraged that his first statements underlined the importance of Faith itself. I see him as a counterpoint to Elon Musk who made a game of USAID which Bill Gates revealed in a new campaign on helping the poorest, Elon’s cut in USAID will cause an increase in HIV which the young were being protected from in Africa. I did some rewording there but I believe the meaning remains intact.
