I have something to say the people that served in the military

See when a nation can fund wars indefinitely, but can't fund housing for the people that fought in them. Then that nation lost it's morale compass

A lot of profit in the military-industrial complex and not much in helping your neighbor and community, unfortunately. And those who scream the loudest about paying taxes willingly let the corporations and 1% at the top siphon off whatever they want, but any penny for those in need is called socialism, Communism, welfare, the dole.

Agreed, especially for those mentally and physically damaged/destroyed by serving in those wars.

@Ducky I'm one of those vets. Those pointless foreign wars are only so the oligarchs can become even wealthier.

@Crazywaterspring I’m sorry. 🫂 Just know there are those of us who understand. Few as we may be, we know and will never stop calling out the government on how they treat you.

"A nation that year after year spends more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death."

You think soldiers should get free lifetime housing?
HumanEarth · F
Disabled ones at the very least.

@KerriJC I don't know about free. But a lot of Vietnam Vets are homeless and struggling particularly now that they are older. Perhaps some kind of subsidy. I'm not talking for everyone. Only those who are demonstrably verified to be in need.

Over 2M of them were drafted and sent to war with no say so. What is two years of your life worth?
