Moved from the city to the country this year, and had this experience.

I'd never heard one before, and this guy was close. Very loud, like he was sitting on the sill of the window I opened.

I heard one outside my window the other night. They are a very calming sound.

I love that sound myself. I used to sit close to the forest area and listen to them at night when I couldn't sleep. They're all incredibly cute, but the most beautiful one I ever saw was white 🦉🤍

I remember being in Spain and going on a night walk then being chased down the hillside by one 😂😂

There's one who lives right near my game room. I can hear him at 3:00 in the morning.
