Apparently there are very easily-accessible materials that, when combined, can create a powerful explosive 😱

Adam Savage of MythBusters was asked by a fan during a Q&A panel at Comic Con 2018 what the worst behind the scenes disaster they've had on the show was. I'm sure that fan was not expecting the answer from Savage when he explained they were investigating some materials one can get anywhere that, when mixed together, form an explosive; that what they discovered was so dangerous and so powerful, they agreed that that knowledge must never get out to the public and even destroyed the footage and reported it to the US Department of Defense. Savage has seldom commented on it since. No doubt to avoid going to any speculative discussion on what the materials could be. But naturally, one might have some morbid curiosity on what easily-available materials could possibly be used to create such a dangerous explosive? Kinda scary knowing that there are some easy-to-get ingredients for a powerful bomb out there just waiting to be discovered. 😨
