Karma for would be thieves

A guy comes out of his home seeing someone rifling through his vehicle. He confronts the person who quickly walks to his escape motorcycle.
The would be thief has a female accomplice waiting at the motorcycle.
They take off along the footpath and hit a steel bollard. The female passenger has her thumb ripped off.
They get back on the bike and leave. The driver ditches the female on the side of the road 25 kms away.
She flags down a passing ambulance.
