For sure, Lightning Hopkins plays them with Stevie Ray Vaughan.

@JohnnySpot I was listening to Lightnin' two days ago and he still sounds great and I hope I get to see him and Stevie and so many others when I eventually get there

@atlantic59 I listen to Lightnin's "mojo hand" yesterday when I was writing this, it gave me shivers.

who was that famous blues player Robert Johnson? who wrote about selling his soul to the devil. I don't promote that at all but i guess it inspires some people

@akindheart Absolutely. Money, power and ego based recognition though, has often been a strong lure to Spiritual sacrifice. Especially if you come from having so much without. Who can blame one for wanting more when they come from said poverty?

Young Robert Johnson got laughed off the stage until he came back a considerable time later with more talent and renewed energy. Most of that is contributed to lessons he took from an old blues guy in the area, but how much determination he got from the Devil will never be known unless I meet him in Hell and ask him

@atlantic59 i hope you take a detour my friend

Not an actual place. More a conjuring of the imagination.
atlantic59 · 61-69, M
@RedBaron I've heard accounts from people who had the near death experience and actually died but then came back to life and how they went through this tunnel to a blissful place. They never mentioned blues clubs but they did get to meet relatives and loved ones

@atlantic59 Hallucinations grounded in wishful thinking.

@RedBaron Thanks doctor but I'm getting a second opinion
atlantic59 · 61-69, M
probably, cause Heaven is an Equal Opportunity place I would imagine

Blues players have been known to sell their souls. The head demon must be a fan.
